| Why I Drew This | Dominique is a character who deserves more attention |
I started a daily sketch challenge for myself again, but this time, I’m not limiting it’s length, meaning a sketch a day is a necessity of my artistic life. I will attempt to make all my sketches colored, but there’s no guarantee I will always be able to… I have a backlog or video games from the series I still need to play. My newfound passion for Igavanias is high and I still keep wondering how – and why – I didn’t find these games before.
Dominique is an interesting character who also plays a role of a villain in Bloodstained, but judging by how her transformation is presented, she must have been driven into villainy by grief, which a certain demoness took advantage of. However, Dominique’s reasoning is never explicitly explained in the game, and things she tells you when she suddenly turns on you make her look 100% possessed. Thus, she is a lost soul and not a true villain. I wish there was more direct confirmation to that within the game.
