At the times of my departure from Sonic CIS, I became increasingly involved with artists on DeviantArt, where I was building my own gallery. At first, it was filled with fanarts for the Sonic Universe, until the familiar fanbase has filled with the “new generation” of Sonic fans, and I switched to Crash Bandicoot, trying to get away from the collective madness of the Sonic fanbase. However, before that happened, I had time to make friends with Kojichan and get acquainted with the story of her main character – Crystal.
According to her head-canon, Maria reincarnated as a cat named Crystal and met Shadow again. I don’t remember everything at this point, but I was interested in drawing her character in that context (hence Shadow’s jet boots).
