When I had nothing to do in school, I was drawing. And “nothing to do” was a stretchable concept and, among other things, meant just boring lessons with boring lectures from the school board side. Over time, my evil classmates began to turn me in to the teachers, and the teachers began to write in my school diary, in large red letters, just those words: “draws in class.” The classmates even tried to pin those ugly doodles, which it was unknown who and when scrawled on the desk (and not even on mine), on me, but, luckily, this did not pass. All in all, I had a million reasons to periodically hide somewhere in my mental space and communicate with the world solely through paper and paint.

Since I had nothing to do most of my free time, I spent it exploring the Sonic world that had formed in my mind. Above is a typical Mobian street gang (I picked the name of the planet up from a book I was given by the blabber boy I used to be good acquaintances with).

Over time, I managed to get out of my head, but that was years later. And between then and now, a lot of things happened on paper, and frankly, in those years, Sonic was a very big save for me. I feel bad about how he now has changed so much that it is no longer possible to call him the hero on whom my sanity used to rest during the most difficult days.
