In my own version of Sonic, all sorts of unusual phenomena happened, like the Great Star. This celestial body constantly accompanied Mobius, but it was impossible to reach it. As if the Gods themselves were looking at this beautiful blue planet from the depths of space… And all the great heroes went there after their death, becoming Messengers. The Chaos Emeralds were also attributed to the wonders of the Great Star and were directly related to it, so using Chaos Control through small emeralds essentially summoned the spirit of the respective Ambassador to help.
The stories of all the guardians were not written out, in fact, I only managed to formalize the very concept that great heroes become Ambassadors. In particular, Sonya’s father, Lunay, who died in the earthquake, became the messenger of the Great Star after his death. It is noteworthy that in their ascension, the heroes acquire superform features and colors. So Lunay, who used to be black during his lifetime, acquired an unusual glow and a brighter color after death.
The Messengers of the Great Star are often referred to as the “Angels of Magic Crystals”. At their will, unusual phenomena may occur in the field of influence of their respective emeralds. The fact that Sonic was able to harness the power of an artificial emerald that lacks its own guardian hints that he is a great hero.
The Chaos Emeralds are closely related to the Gods, but the history of their creation is not completely clear.
