This picture is based on one of the dreams that I once saw at night. In this dream, I traveled to different places until I came to a space where there was absolutely nothing but blackness. Then, a path to a patch of reality with a forking road appeared before me. At the fork, I realized that I wasn’t alone – next to me stood a girl in a sports swimsuit and asked where she should turn: before us was a fork between the spring and autumn worlds. The autumn path seemed more comfortable to me, and I decided to go along it. The girl went with me, but when I reached that world – she disappeared.
I recall, there were lots of lost things in that world. For example, a child’s backpack with elements of a teddy bear. Autumn fairies asked me what it meant – for them this backpack looked painfully outrageous and they considered it mocking by humans. I explained to them that the backpack was meant for human children and they calmed down. Autumn fairies looked about the same as I painted in the picture. So did I, because when I entered that world, I took on a different form. In general, I felt very comfortable in there, but I can summarize that fairies do not like humans and do not understand most of their deeds.
